I recently stumbled upon the work of Belgium photographer Leonard Misonne. I found it so beautiful that I was shocked to have never even heard mention of him, or for that matter, not even 'pictorial photography'. I am relieved to write that I am now both familiar with the movement, and a shameless fanboy.
To atone for my ignorance I thought I'd share some of his work here.
I love the use of soft, diffuse lighting to create imagery that is less about capturing reality, and more about evoking an emotional response. I hope you enjoy it too.
