I'm using my downtime to produce another personal animation. The idea is to produce some atmospheric imagery centered around the juxtaposition of architectural form, and the acoustic structure of instruments. I'll use 'isolation' as the accompanying track.
This is the interior of a violin, played up to look a bit like an old abandoned attic or something. It's actually a still frame lifted from an animated sequence, which will come later - much later at this rate - but I'm working hard.
Was fun to do, the lighting is actually very simple, but it's always challenging to light 'contre-jour', and there is a lot to consider when emulating macro photography in 3D, in order to make sure the physics play out plausibly.
Hope you like it.
